Called to go, sent to proclaim — this is the motto under which our traditional pilgrimage to Jasna Góra will take place this year. This call reminds us that faith is a path on which we constantly learn, so that we can then share this experience with others.
Disciples-missionaries on the way
This year’s pilgrimage program is inextricably linked to the theme “Disciples-missionaries”. As we head towards the Shrine of Our Lady, we become a living community. Our journey, common prayers, songs, and even simple mutual goodwill become a sincere testimony to the Gospel.
It is precisely in the dust of the road, in common toil and overcoming difficulties, that our Christian calling is best revealed: we grow stronger in faith to become witnesses to those we meet along the roads, in villages, and in our group. This is an opportunity to step out of our comfort zone and feel what it means to carry Christ to others, being guided by Him ourselves. Our faithful Protector on this path is the Most Holy Virgin Mary — the first to bring Jesus into the world.
Route and preparation
The Bielsko-Biała – Częstochowa route is a traditional and beloved pilgrimage path that runs through beautiful nature, small villages, and peaceful forest trails. We will stay overnight in school buildings or gyms, where we can rest and gather strength for the next day. Simple sleeping equipment (mat, sleeping bag), suitable shoes and clothes, and – most importantly – an open heart should be brought along.
Before the journey, an information meeting will take place where we will provide instructions and practical recommendations. We recommend doing light physical preparation in the summer so that walking is a joy, not a hardship.
Get acquainted with the route map to get a better idea of the journey ahead. If you want to see what this pilgrimage has been like in previous years, we recommend watching the video, which provides an excellent overview and helps to form an impression of this extraordinary experience.
Program and Logistics
We have planned the route so that everyone has the opportunity to fully experience this spiritual journey:
- August 4: Departure from Tallinn by comfortable bus. The beginning of our shared journey.
- August 6–11: Walking pilgrimage on the route Bielsko-Biała – Częstochowa (153 km). This is a time of deep prayer, reflection, and unity.
- August 12–15: “Time for rest and reflection.” This year we decided to change the tradition: after the end of the pilgrimage, we will head for four days to a picturesque mountainous region. This is a time of silence, rest, and reflection on the journey completed amidst majestic nature.
Return Home
For your convenience, two options are provided for returning to Tallinn:
- For those returning immediately after the end of the pilgrimage in Częstochowa: arrival in Tallinn August 12–13.
- For those traveling to the mountains: return to Tallinn August 17–19.
Cost and Participation
The approximate cost of the entire trip (including transportation, accommodation, and rest in the mountains) is 600 euros.
We want this spiritual experience to be accessible to everyone. If you feel called in your heart but are facing financial difficulties, please let us know — there is an opportunity for support so that no one is left out for material reasons.
How to register?
The pilgrimage is open to everyone. No grand words or extraordinary abilities are required — your presence, an open heart, and a willingness to embark on the journey are enough.
